The project and needs

The Lovebox is a connected box, to offer to the people you love so you can send them messages on a daily basis. A mobile application allows personalized messages to be sent to a dedicated terminal using texts, photos, gifs, etc.
Lovebox's React Native application had undergone a major overhaul and the new MVP was experiencing numerous performance issues preventing it from being put into production.

The proposed solution

We were asked to perform a code audit to improve performance and reduce crashes. We have rewritten some features and upgraded major packages.
